It’s easy to have faith at the beginning of a trial;
It’s easy to have faith at the end of the trial.
But it is difficult to have faith in the middle of the trial.
Even the most faithful believers can sometimes falter before the end of the ordeal. This is why Paul speaks to the issue frequently, urging followers of Christ to not falter but to hang in there, to persevere, to keep the faith.
Here’s the solution: when your faith wavers in the midst of a trial, push your mind forward to when the trial is no longer happening but is safely behind you in the past. Try to imagine how God is going to use this difficulty for the good. This is His promise in Romans 8:28 and we know that God always keeps His promises.
