Nehemiah was a man of God who lived through the Babylonian exile long before the birth of Jesus. He is best known for the mission God gave him to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem for the return to the homeland. We remember him for other things as well.
Nehemiah was a godly man who prayed often that God would remember him for doing what was right. He continually followed God’s ways and led the people to do the same. He stood up against the evil and opposition of the day, shared his resources generously with God’s people and completed the job God gave him to do.
Because Nehemiah was obedient to God in all things, he could pray in this way and expect God to remember and reward him.
