We have received the latest report on the success of Philip’s recent missionary trip to the Li Su people group in northern Kachin State. These people are of Chinese descent and currently live in China, Thailand, Myanmar and other Southeast Asian nations. Many are already Christian, but in dire need of training in leadership and Bible study. Philip and friend traveled three days and two nights with a group of six students to conduct a four-day teaching to help equip these Christians for ministry in their area.

Then on the 24th of this month, Philip will depart with two of his associates and two students for Mindat township in southern Chin State to teach principles of inductive Bible study and servant leadership to church leaders in that State. As on all of his missionary journeys, Philip and his group minister to the elderly by washing their blankets and providing them with fresh clothing. In the words of Philip: “Providing service to elderly men and widows is what we always do in every mission trip. This’s been the way we make memory of the days we visit to the place and minister to people.” It is their service to these elderly people, Philip believes, that wins their hearts before the teachings beings.
