A New Year at Yangon Grace Bible School
Another school year was completed at Yangon Grace Bible School early in February.
This year five graduates took the stage at the end of four years’ education. Asbury’s Director of Global Ministries, Jim Davis, gave the commencement address, as he did last year as well. Tom Golliver traveled with Jim to Myanmar and gave the charge to graduates (given by Gail Knox this past year).
We talked with Jim upon his return and he was enthusiastic about the event and the progress observed at the school since the last year. It was Jim’s second visit to Myanmar and Tom’s first. Both were thrilled with their visit with Philip and the students of Yangon Grace Bible School.
Philip expresses his sincere gratitude to Asbury Global Missions, Word Within International and all our faithful followers who support him, the Bible school and his mission trips into the remote areas.
Towards the end of March, Philip will travel to Naga in Myanmar (near the border of India) for a week of teaching. This is new territory for Philip.
A Search for New Students
He is hoping that new students will come from this area and thus diversify even more the tribal ethnicity that is being equipped at YGBS. “Thank you,” he says, “for your partnership with us for His work and for His nations and for His glory.” We pray for abundant fruit to come from the opening of this new territory.
Much has been accomplished in Myanmar through Philip’s ministry during the years that we have supported him in the Lord’s work. There is still much to do. We pray that you will continue to support him with your prayers and your financial assistance. Donations may be made to Word Within International, P.O. Box 33178, Tulsa 74153. Please mark “Philip” in the memo section of your remittance. All of your contributions will be forwarded to Philip.
